At Connected Pathways, your kid will experience a program that embraces diversity and arouses an excitement for learning. Through a child’s natural exploration and curiosity of the world around them, our qualified team supports their emotional or social growth while presenting enriching language and literacy development opportunities

Our organization capitalizes on two concepts in the management of our early learning environment. These two principles offer our most effective tools in guiding your child to the best version of themselves as they continue to grow in a healthy learning environment.

Conscious Discipline offers educators the skills to integrate social-emotional learning, discipline, and self-regulation so they spend less time policing behavior and more time teaching vital life skills.

Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP) requires early childhood educators to gain or seek out knowledge and understanding using three core considerations: commonality in children’s development and learning, individuality reflecting each child’s unique characteristics and experiences, and the context in which learning and development occur. These core considerations apply to all aspects of educators’ decision-making in their work to foster each child’s optimal development and learning.

Learning how your child learns is the first step in developing the best version of who they will become. Our organization pursues as much information gathering as possible by using assessment and observation tools to offer accurate information for teachers and give sound results our families expect.

When you walk into our learning setting, you will be greeted into a community where adults and children are supported, appreciated, and respected. Our team of qualified adult professionals is willing to learn as much about you and your family so that we may offer optimal learning results for your child.

Our Curriculum

Creative Curriculum - is research-based and supports the development of the whole child. High-quality, comprehensive resources empower educators to intentionally teach and care for our youngest learners during the most critical and formative years of development.

Recent parenting research from the Pew Research Center discovered that most parents want similar things for their children regardless of race, education, or beliefs. This includes curiosity, persistence, tolerance, empathy for others, creativity, independence, good manners, helping others, hard work, and responsibility.

The Creative Curriculum offers the best tool to combine each of these areas and Connected Pathways has shown great success in implementing and analyzing its effectiveness in our programs.

Infan Learning

Infant Program

We accept infants from 6 weeks to 12 months on a full-time basis. Each baby is offered personal and consistent attention from our loving and dedicated staff. Developmentally appropriate activities are offered, giving infants enough materials, space, and time to grow and learn at their own pace.

Relationships with dependable adults are necessary. That is why the staff at Connected Pathways engages in many face-to-face and one-on-one interactions with infants using frequent eye contact, simple language, and a calm voice. Playful interactions are performed in sensitive ways to the child’s level of tolerance and interests using various sounds and fine motor experiences, physical movement, and other children’s presence.

Toddler Program

Toddler Program

Our Toddler Program is an excellent place for our younger children. Our team surrounds them with a vast number of guided activities and collaborate those experiences to establish those connections and brain development.

A study found that significant brain development in a young child happens during the first five years. A young kid’s brain development is substantially affected by responsive and respectful settings, powerful, deep relationships, and rich experiences with important adults.

Our team is devoted to working with toddlers under the age of three. They are engrossed in offering the absolute best experiences for children and their families. Moreover, they rejoice in the many discoveries that take place each day.

Preschool Program

Preschool Program

Our Preschool Program is grounded by the Ohio Department of Education’s benchmarks and curriculum standards. We understand that preschool is the time of abundant exploration and active imagination, while at the same time, preparing them for what they will encounter at the next stage of their educational future. A child’s neurons are firing at an unimaginable rate, building upon, and making connections on past experiences.

Our preschool classrooms are equipped with materials to challenge a child’s critical thinking skills, discovery, and growth. Play is utilized as a learning approach to allow the application of the wonderful things learned throughout their day. When children are touching, talking, experimenting, and interacting, they are learning in a way that they can build upon through experience.

Children use exploration, imagination, and creativity to establish literacy and language skills, build critical thinking, and explore a sense of self in a group environment. Even when they choose to sit and look at books, there is a long list of learning skills, such as self-regulation and self-confidence.

Our inclusive preschool program will get your child ready in a play-based, intuitive, and nurturing setting where they will learn important skills for kindergarten and life as a whole.

Kindergarten Program

Kindergarten Program

A child entering kindergarten could be a time of stress and excitement for families. Connected Pathways offers guidance and support to assist in the decision-making process using our relationships with area school systems and the establishment, for the child, of what is to be expected of them during their tenure at CP. Our lesson plans are designed to support cognitive support and physical, emotional, and social support that is critical at this stage of their development.

At Connected Pathways, we offer the ideal balance: developmentally suitable practices with play-based, hands-on, and active learning. It is combined with some stress-free and focused instruction on skills they need to learn.

Early cognitive learning is composed of enough time, enough materials, and enough interactions with qualified adults. Our specialized teachers have thoroughly made such learning centers and filled them with the right types of materials. That ensures maximum learning as the kids are engaged in them. We are assured that our Kindergarten Program at Connected Pathways is a wonderful experience for children as they get ready to enter a school-age program.
